Q: Why Coconut Soy Wax
A: The wax used is an all natural, USA grown product. No harmful toxins means you get a cleaner burn.
Q: How do I get the most out of my candle?
A: Follow all of the candle care basics (candle care link at home page) Trim your wick, do not burn for more than 4 hours etc..
Q: Do I need to trim the wick?
A: Yes, wick should be trimmed before burned, every time. Trim to about 5mm. If you do not trim before you relight your wick, you will get soot build up, black smokey flickers and a wild flame that can be dangerous.
Q: How long with my candle last?
A: Each burn time varies based on candle size and if candle care guidelines are followed. 8oz tin should last about 25 hours 14oz jar will last about 70-85 hours 16oz bowl should last 85+ hours. The longevity of the candle is really up to the customer.
Q: What will happen if I burn my candle longer than 4 hours?
A: Allowing your candle to burn longer than 4 hours will not only burn up your candle more quickly, it is also very dangerous. If you candle continues to burn down for long periods of time, the jar will get hotter as the wax burns down the glass. If you are not paying attention to the amount of time your candle is burning, the heat from the flame can crack the glass causing hot wax to spill all over. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CANDLE LIT LONGER THAN THE MAX 4 HOURS.
Q:How can I clean my candle jar to reuse it?
A: Once your wax reaches its lowest point (1/2") allow it to cool and then place it in the refrigerator. Do not cool your candle off in the refrigerator. The wax will shrink down in the cold and should be able to easily remove the wax. Once the wax is removed, allow glass to come back to room temp. place into the sink to wash like you would your dishes.
Q:Why is my candle lumpy when it cools?
A: Coconut Soy Wax is a natural wax. Because there are no additives to alter the appearance, it dries with a lumpy appearance as it cools. It does not effect the candle or its scent in any way.
